ASTM A351/A351M covers austenitic and austenitic-ferritic steel castings for pressure-containing parts.

Perform RT, UT, MT, PT or PMI only to the specified acceptance criteria

Delivery documents

Material certificates and heat or batch traceability records
Heat-treatment charts, NDE reports and dimensional reports when required
Approved drawings, deviation records and inspection-release documents

Selection limits

Replacement parts require drawings, parent-valve identification or approved reverse-engineering data
A material grade does not replace complete heat-treatment, weld-repair and inspection requirements
Component fit does not automatically preserve the parent valve's performance or certification
